Ingrid Johnson
Hi there, I’m Ingrid! Let’s see, a little bit about me… First and foremost I am so delighted to be a part of Lyyra. Ensemble and choral singing has been my biggest pursuit in my professional life, so to be able to be a part of not only a small ensemble but to truly make collaborative music is very special for me. I also sing in choirs across the US and Colorado, where I was born and raised and currently live, such as the Colorado Bach Ensemble, St. Martin’s Chamber Ensemble, Ensemble Altera, Aeternum Choir, Servire Chorus, and have recently dipped my toes into more soloist work. I studied at McGill University for my Master’s in Early Music performance and truly found a niche for myself in Historical Performance practice, which I love being able to share with groups. Despite having concentrated in this specific facet of music, I am so interested in exploring cross-genre works and am building up the confidence to not only sing pop, jazz, and musical theater in my car. One step at a time!
When I’m not on the road singing, I manage Lyyra’s social media and web presence (hi, yep it’s me), work in a Box Office in my hometown, and love smushing my face into my cat’s fur at any opportunity despite my allergies.
